1872 1C Indian Head Cent PCGS MS 63 RB Uncirculated Red Brown Better Date Tough

An 1872 better date Indian head cent graded MS 63 RB by PCGS. It carries a sharply defined strike on the obverse with all four diamonds being present on the ribbon. This coin is accurately labeled as a red brown from PCGS but we would say is mostly red throughout both the obverse and reverse. The photos provided give an accurate representation of how this coin looks in person. We were hoping it would grade a point higher but PCGS decided to be conservative on this one. This date holds a high mintage of 4,042,000. However, of this high mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 700 of these have survived with red brown surfaces such as this coin! It is one of only 132 graded Mint State 63 Red Brown by PCGS.
