1871 1c Indian Head Cent NGC AU 58 About Uncirculated to Mint State Tough Date

A very attractive 1871 Indian head cent graded AU 58 by NGC. It holds an above average strike with most of the diamonds showing throughout the obverse. It also has a very appealing chocolate brown original patina that is slightly darker and more appealing than what is indicated in the photos provided. A tougher date to find in this AU 58 grade level by NGC. This coin holds a total mintage of 3,929,800. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 6,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 84 graded About Uncirculated 58 by NGC.
