An attractive 1871 better date Two Cent piece graded XF 45 by PCGS. It holds an exceptional strike with perfect crusty original brown surfaces among both sides. A tougher date to find certified problem free in this grade level. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder.
This better date holds a total mintage of 721,250. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 3,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 73 graded Extra Fine 45 by PCGS.
