A very attractive 1870 seated liberty half dime graded MS 64 by NGC. It holds a strong strike throughout both sides with a minor die clash near her knee on the obverse. The surfaces are nearly entirely toned on both sides with some vibrant blue toning showing through primarily the reverse. A very appealing coin that is perfect for a U.S type collection as this date is among the most common for this series.
This Philadelphia Mint coin holds a total mintage of 535,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 1,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 68 graded Mint State 64 by PCGS.
