A very nice and original 1870 Indian head cent graded VG 8 by ANACS. It holds strong full rims with a very attractive chocolate brown original patina. It has part of the letters of liberty visible on the upper portion. We would say this coin would grade a touch higher according to today's grading standards. It has been housed in an Old Small Size 1980's ANACS Holder.
This 1870 Indian head cent holds a total mintage of 5,275,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 6,000 have survived in all grades today.
