A very attractive 1866 with motto, seated liberty half dollar graded XF 40 by NGC. It carries superior details for only an extra fine grade with perfect crusty original toned surfaces. The obverse is slightly darker but overall the toning pattern matches very nicely. A tougher date to find in this grade level.
This Philadelphia Mint date holds a total mintage of 744,900. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 650 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only nine graded Extra Fine 40 by NGC.
