1866 3CN Three Cent Nickel PCGS MS 65 Uncirculated Toned Beauty Cert#7212

An absolutely beautiful 1866 three cent nickel piece graded MS 65 by PCGS. It carries a great strike with beautiful original surfaces. This attractive type coin holds some light blue and purple toning throughout both sides. These three cent nickels are very seldom ever offered with attractive toning such as this example. It has been stored in a PCGS secure label holder where their photos give the best representation of how this coin looks in person. This coin is among the most common to the series with a high mintage of 4,801,000. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 20,000 of these have survived in all grades today with an estimated 250 only remaining in Mint State 65 or higher condition such as this one. It is one of only 140 certified in this grade level by PCGS.
