A beautiful 1865 two cent piece graded MS 64 BN by NGC. It carries a great strike throughout both sides with very attractive and original brown surfaces. This gorgeous coin has been housed in a collectible 'NGC Fatty Holder' and is superior for the grade. The holder is in excellent condition. This 1865 date is very common to the series with a high mintage of 13,640,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 10,000 have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 359 graded Mint State 64 Brown by NGC.
