An attractive 1865 three cent nickel graded MS 62 by PCGS. It carries some neat die cracks throughout with the face of the obverse outlined on the reverse. It holds some attractive original toning throughout both sides. This date is among the most common for the three cent nickel series with a huge mintage of 11,382,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 421 graded Mint State 62 by PCGS.
