1865 3CN Three Cent Nickel PCGS AU 58 About Uncirculated OGH CAC Approved

A very attractive 1865 three cent nickel graded AU 58 by PCGS. It carries some very dramatic die cracks throughout the obverse with some attractive light toning. This beautiful coin has been housed in an Old Green Label PCGS Holder. It has also been approved by CAC for quality. This date is among the most common for the three cent nickel series with a huge mintage of 11,382,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 50,000 have survived in all grades today. This coni is one of only 455 graded About Uncirculated 58 by PCGS. It is also one of only 10 approved by CAC in this grade level.
