1864 2C Small Motto Two Cent Piece PCGS XF 45 Extra Fine + OGH

A tough 1864 small motto, two cent piece graded XF 45 by PCGS. This coin carries a great strike throughout both sides with very attractive chocolate brown original surfaces. It has a strong and fully readable 'WE' on the obverse which is tough to find even in these mid-grade levels. A very hard to come by coin in such a decent grade with attractive original surfaces. The PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 10,000 of these have survived that are the 'small motto' variety such as this coin. Their population report shows that this coin is one of only 56 in this XF 45 grade by PCGS. A neat coin to find stored in an old green label PCGS holder.
