1864 2C Large Motto Two Cent Piece PCGS MS 64 RB Uncirculated Red Brown US Type Coin

A very attractive 1864 large motto, two cent piece graded MS 64 RB by PCGS. It carries a very sharp strike with attractive red and brown original surfaces. Although it has not been notated, this coin is a minor mint error coin on the reverse as it has a small 'planchet peel' on the reverse. A neat little error to go along with the coin. This 1864 two cent piece is the most common to the entire series with a huge mintage of 19,847,500. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 5,000 have survived today with red brown surfaces such as this one. It is one of only 1,204 graded Mint State 64 Red Brown by PCGS.
