1863 25c Seated Liberty Quarter NGC AU 58 About Uncirculated Perfect Original Toned

An original 1863 better date seated liberty quarter graded AU 58 by NGC. It holds a nice strong strike with perfect choice original toned surfaces. This coin has a darker toned obverse that actually holds some beautiful colorful toning when it is being tilted in the light. The obverse is much lighter with not as much color in the toning pattern. Unfortunately, our photos do not come close to giving this coin justice for how nice it looks in hand. This Philadelphia Mint date is seldom ever offered in this grade level. It has been housed in a slightly older style NGC holder. The perfect coin for an Everyman set. This Philadelphia Mint coin has a total mintage of only 191,600. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 600 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only seven graded About Uncirculated 58 by NGC.
