1862 Seated Liberty Half Dime NGC MS 61 Uncirculated Civil War Date Toned

An attractive 1862 seated liberty half dime graded MS 61 by NGC. It carries an excellent strike throughout both sides with some neat die cracks on the obverse. A popular date being minted during the Civil War Time period. This date is fairly common to the series with a large mintage of 1,492,000. However, of this huge mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only a tiny fraction of this number (3,000) have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 44 graded Mint State 61 by NGC.
