1862 G$1 Gold Dollar Type Three NGC MS 63 Uncirculated Princess Head Civil War

A very attractive 1862 civil war date, liberty gold dollar graded MS 63 by NGC. It carries a great strike throughout both sides with attractive original surfaces. A popular date among collectors being a higher mintage and more affordable Civil War date for the series. This date holds a large mintage of 1,361,355. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only a sliver (4,500) have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 482 graded Mint State 63 by NGC.
