A very neat 1861 liberty head quarter eagle graded VG 8 by PCGS. This coin is the 'New Reverse' style and has been approved by CAC for quality. It holds very nice original surfaces and is very seldom offered in this grade level. A neat date being minted during the Civil War Era time period. This Philadelphia Mint date holds a mintage of 1,283,788. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 2,000 have survived in all grades today. This coin is the only one graded Very Good 8 by PCGS. It is also the only one approved by CAC in this grade level.
