An attractive 1858 seated liberty dime graded AU 55 by NGC. It carries a decent strike throughout both sides with just a light hue of original toning throughout the obverse and reverse.
With a high mintage of 1,540,000, you would suspect this date is very plentiful to find. However, of this high mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 1,000 of these (less than 1%) have survived today! This coin is one of only eight graded About Uncirculated 55 by NGC.
