1857 1C Small Date Braided Hair Large Cent PCGS XF 45 Extra Fine + Cert#3799

An attractive 1857 small date, braided hair large cent graded XF-45 by PCGS. It carries excellent details for the grade with very attractive brown original surfaces. A tougher date to find in this grade. The small date style for this date is much harder to come by than the large date style. This key date coin holds a low mintage of only 333,456. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts only 600 have survived that are of this 'small date' style. this coin is one of only 134 graded XF 45 by PCGS.
