1857 1C Small Date Large Cent NGC MS 63 BN Uncirculated Key Date Braided Hair

An 1857 small date, key date braided hair large cent graded MS 63 BN by NGC. It carries a great strike throughout both sides with nice chocolate brown original surfaces. This coin is stored in a slightly older holder by NGC. A much tougher variety of the 1857 being the small date style. Please note, we guarantee this coin to be the small date but it has not been notated by NGC. This key date coin holds a low mintage of only 333,456. However, of this mintage PCGS estimates that only 600 of these have survived that are the 'small date' style such as this one. It is one of only ten coins graded Mint State 63 BN by NGC.
