A very attractive 1856 Upright 5, braided hair large cent graded MS 62 BN by ANACS. This coin carries a superior strike throughout both sides with very attractive and original chocolate brown surfaces. It holds very mark free surfaces for the grade is completely original. This date is very common for the series making it perfect for a high end U.S type collector. It has been housed in an older small size 1980's ANACS holder. This date holds a large mintage of 2,690,463. However, of this very large mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 6,000 have survived in all grades today that are the Upright 5 style.
