1856 $1 Seated Liberty Dollar PCGS PR 62 Proof OGH Undergraded? Key Date Old Holder

A rare 1856 proof Seated Liberty Dollar graded PR-62 by PCGS. This scarce date is very seldom offered in any grade level, especially in the PR-62 range such as this coin. It came from an older gentleman's personal collection as he has decided to start liquidating some of his very high quality coins. We believe it could definitely grade higher today but do not want to lose the historical PCGS green label holder (OGH). It holds a superior proof strike with very mark free surfaces for only a PR 62 grade. A neat coin to come in an old time PCGS green label holder. This key date coin carries a tiny mintage of only 50 according to PCGS! The PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 40 have survived in all grades levels. This coin is one of only six graded Proof 62 by PCGS!
