A beautiful 1855 three dollar gold piece graded MS 62 by PCGS. The three dollar gold series has been in very strong demand lately among collectors and has been very difficult for us to carry in inventory. This is one of the nicest graded examples we have ever offered. It is very appealing for the grade level and has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder.
This date holds a total mintage of 50,555. However, of this low mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 3,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 86 graded Mint State 62 by PCGS.
