1853 1C Braided Hair Large Cent PCGS MS 64 RB Uncirculated Mostly Red ! Nice!

An absolutely beautiful 1853 braided hair large cent graded MS 64 RB by PCGS. This date is very common for the series. However, it is much harder to come by in this red brown designation. What makes this coin special compared to others in this grade level is that it is mostly red throughout both sides! There is a huge variance in red brown examples and this one is definitely on the red side of the spectrum. This Philadelphia Mint date holds a high mintage of 6,641,131. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 1,500 have survived in red brown condition such as this one. It is one of only 275 graded Mint State 64 Red Brown by PCGS.
