A tough 1851 key date seated liberty half dollar graded VF 25 by ANACS. This key date coin is one of the toughest dates to find of the entire series. It has the perfect amount of detail for the grade and could have easily graded a touch higher. A very original coin with a nice patina that mostly matches throughout both sides. This date is one of the few we are asked about frequently when attending shows. This key date coin has a total mintage of 200,750. However, of this mintage the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 500 of these have survived in all grades.
