1842 $1 Seated Liberty Dollar NGC AU 50 About Uncirculated Green Toned Unique

A very uniquely toned1842 seated liberty dollar graded AU 50 by NGC. This coin carries some green toning throughout the majority of the reverse with some light maroon colored toning around the reverse rims. The obverse holds some darker black toning mixed with some maroon toning near the middle as well. A very neat coin to find with such a unique toning pattern. It has been stored in the NGC holder with the reverse side up to show the attractive toning. This date holds a fairly low mintage of only 184,618. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 4,000 have survived in all grades today. This coin is one of only 67 graded About Uncirculated 50 by NGC.
