1841 $1 Seated Liberty Dollar NGC AU 53 About Uncirculated Lustrous Coin Mostly White !
An early 1841 seated liberty dollar graded AU 53 by NGC. It has a decent strike with nearly entirely white surfaces with the exception of the one streak on the obverse. When being tilted in the light this coin has a lot of flash to it for only an AU 53 graded example. It is a slightly better date to the series and was minted during the second year of production. It has been housed in a newer style NGC prong holder. This Philadelphia Mint date has a total mintage of 173,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 2,300 have survived in all grades. It is one of just 23 graded About Uncirculated 53 by NGC.
