1838 50c Capped Bust Reeded Edge Half Dollar NGC AU 58 CAC Approved Jules Reiver Collection

A very attractive 1838 reeded edge, capped bust half dollar graded AU 58 by NGC. It carries a great strike throughout both sides with some very original lightly toned surfaces. It has been approved by CAC for quality. It is the 'picture perfect' coin for the grade level. This coin has also been notated on the NGC label to have come from the "Jules Reiver Collection". This reeded edge half dollar holds a total mintage of 3,546,000. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 7,500 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 253 graded About Uncirculated 58 by NGC. It is also one of only 28 approved by CAC in this grade level for quality.
