An 1837 Reeded Edge capped bust half dollar XF 40 by NGC. It holds the perfect the perfect amount of detail for the grade with extremely attractive original surfaces. Although the photos do not show the toning, this coin holds some beautiful blue and purple toning on both sides but most notably throughout the obverse. You need to tilt the coin at just the right angle to see the toning but it is gorgeous. This date holds a total mintage of 3,629,000.OF this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 9,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 115 graded to be in Extra Fine 40 condition by NGC.
