A very tough 1836 reeded edge, capped bust half dollar graded G-4 by NGC. This date is very seldom offered in this grade level with a population of only four graded G-4 by NGC. It has been noted to be the GR-1 variety by NGC. The obverse looks like a very good to find grade with the reverse holding it back at the good grade level. The obverse does carry an attractive light purple and blue toning when tilted in the light. This attractive toning was not captured when taking photos of this item.
