A very attractive 1836 Block 8, classic head quarte eagle gold piece graded XF 45 by NGC. It holds excellent detail for the grade with perfect original surfaces among both sides. A tougher early U.S type coin to find in this grade level, especially having been approved by CAC for quality.
This coin holds a total mintage of 657,460. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 475 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 240 graded Extra Fine 45 by NGC. It is also one of only eight approved by CAC for quality in this grade level.
