A very attractive 1812 large date, classic head large cent graded VF 20 by PCGS. It holds very strong detail for the grade with appealing original surfaces. This coin has been noted by PCGS to be the S-289 'large date' style. A very appealing coin that is perfect for a mid-grade U.S type set. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder.
This coin has a total mintage of only 1,075,500. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 3,000 have survived for being this 'large date' style. It is the only one graded Very Fine 20 by PCGS that has been notated to be the S-289 variety.
