A very attractive 1798 large eagle, draped bust dollar graded F 15 by PCGS. This early American U.S type coin is very seldom offered with colorful toning such as this one. It holds some light blue and purple toning around the obverse rims with some rich blue and purple toning scattered throughout the reverse. A very interesting coin that was recently purchased from a large collection. This beauty has been stored in a PCGS Secure Label Holder.
This Philadelphia Mint date holds a small mintage of only 287,536. Of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 5,000 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 162 graded Fine 15 by PCGS.
